Dubai: Day 1 (10/30/19) Dead Day
I got into Dubai early this morning and had a whale of a time getting to my hostel so it wasn’t surprising that I slept till early evening. The hostel is basically two rented apartments on two different floors of a residence high rise building. There’s a small shared kitchen and 4 people to each tiny room for about $20/night. Definitely the highest price for what I’m getting of any hostel so far, I mean was almost as expensive as my hostel in downtown Rome! But its a 15 minute walk from the metro and 30 minutes by said metro to downtown so its at least fairly convenient. I found a grocery store in the building across the road and made a big pot of pasta. Other than that I planned some of what I wanted to do while here and chatted with a friendly guy from India here on business.
