Tallinn: Day 2 (9/22/19)
Went out exploring the city this morning. Damn I love the way this city looks, its like living in one massive, sprawling castle and just walking the streets feels like it could lead to century-old secrets! The path I took lead me up on top of a hill to a great lookout where I had the chance to admire the bright orange rooftops and ancient stonework of the city. I then walked the perimeter of the castle wall, through several gardens and a cute little Sunday festival that was taking place.
I eventually made my way to the grocery store to pick up stuff for pasta and cut through the market square on ym return, which was packed with stalls and people as one would expect on a Sunday afternoon. Spent the evening talking with a large group of folks who all happened to be eating at the same time as me. We had a girl from France, a guy from Pakistan who raved about the hiking there, an Indian guy that didn’t talk much but was quite funny when he did, and an Australian lady that was a wee odd but great at keeping the conversation moving along. We all ended up chatting for almost three hours and had a great time!
