Gryon: Day 4 (8/30/19)
Slept in till 9:00 and chilled out with some oatmeal for the morning. The burning of my hands and arms was making it hard to relax so I decide to say screw it and go down to the church and play the piano. I diddled around for about 90 minutes at which point my hands were complaining about the constant movement. I then grabbed the train uphill to the bank and grocery, returned, and spent the afternoon making harira (a saffron-cinnamon soup). Which turned out quite well I must say, it was really tasty and I have plenty for the next few days!
I spent the rest of the day relaxing/working on the blog and had dinner with one of the work-stays, Claire, that I met on my first day here. She’s from Ireland and has been traveling on and off for several years now. Josei, another work stay, joined in and we laughed over old stories, travel fails, and boys vs girls. Tomorrow I’m planning to do the La Croix route, which Claire said has the best view within walking distance but is a nightmare for anyone with a fear of heights (hey that’s me yay!).
